Analyze 3 political commercials; Complete your StoryBoard!! 20 pts each.

Questions for 3 commercial evaluations: HW; 20 pts
1.What is the setting of the ad? Is there one setting or many?
2.Who are the "performers"—the candidate, or the "real" people? What kinds of people are in the ad? Consider age, race, and gender? What are they doing? How do they behave?
4.What screen text do you see? What words are repeated?
5.What music (if any) do you hear? What kind of music is it?
6.Is there an audio voiceover? What type of voice is used? How does the voice sound? What is actually said?
7.What words are repeated? Are they positive or negative words? Identify them
8.What was the candidate's main purpose in this ad? What did he want you to feel after watching it?
9.Choose three things that you observed about the commercials. How did these elements or qualities strengthen the candidate's purpose and message?
10.At whom do you think this commercial was aimed?
11.What did you learn about persuasion from this commercial?

If you don't have a storyboard....google on internet and print out for at least 9 frames with space to write text, etc. DUE MONDAY ONLY.
